THE SKAKLIA WATERFALL
The Skaklia waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Bulgaria – about 85-meters high, as it is centrepiece of the serene Vazov’s Eco Trail in the captivating Iskar Gorge. The area was a favorite place of Bulgarian writer Ivan Vazov, who visited it a number of times and set at least one of his works in the Iskar Gorge.
The hike is not very hard, but it will leave you with beautiful views and great memories!

09:00 am – Pick up from previously arranged location in Sofia
10:30 am – Arriving at the beginning of Vazov Eco trail
12:00 pm – Arriving at the Skaklia Waterfall and lunch at open air
01:30 pm – Departing for Sofia
03:00 pm – Arriving back in Sofia
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
You should be well equipped: comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the trip, as well as raincoat and long pants, sun hat is absolutely obligatory in the summer. For people with sensitive skin – sun screen is recommended.
